The city is back alive and singing with fun and excitement, ready to welcome your visit.
At Throckmorton Fine Arts we are proud to present an exciting blockbuster show of ancient Chinese jades: Jade, The Stone of Heaven, which has just received an extraordinary review in The National Review. And even better, come visit us when you visit NYC during auction week starting May 7 to see the jade show as well as all our wonderful Pre-Columbian and Chinese works of art along with fantastic photography.
And speaking of auctions, the houses are buzzing. Sotheby’s, Christie’s and Philips will be showcasing mega-auctions of fantastic Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary paintings. In addition, Christie’s is having a major Latin American sale, with viewing starting on May 15th. Remember, viewing at the auction houses is basically by appointment, which is easy.
And to top off the NYC excitement are major museum shows: Alice Neal at the Met, Calder at MOMA, Julie Mehretu at the Whitney, Kaws at the Brooklyn Museum and Niki de Saint Phalle at PS 1.
